Ever since I can recall, I have loved drawing and coloring.  Even when raising my children, I loved coloring a page right alongside the kids.  There is something very soothing about putting color to paper or canvas.  One of the most fun things about painting is that you never quite know how the finished piece of art will turn out, especially when creating abstract art.

I have never been a realist painter and, truthfully, I have no desire to paint in a realist fashion.  Even with my whimsical style art, I prefer to fabricate my own images without regard to rules and realism.  Give me a crayon, a marker or a paintbrush and I am extremely happy.

One of my continuing goals is to create art to make other people happy.  I love art … it’s the artist life for me.
